Ahhhhh… Gratitude.
As Wattles says: “You cannot exercise much power without gratitude; for it is gratitude that keeps you connected with Power.”
Let’s get right to the point: What are you grateful for?
Who are you blessed to have in your life right now? Who has supported you in achieving all that you have achieved in your life?
What material things do you have in your life that you’re grateful for? Your house? Your car? Your toilet? (It wasn’t that long ago that the wealthiest person alive didn’t have 99% of what you have so let’s not take the incredible luxuries we have for granted, eh?)
What are 10 things you can choose to be grateful for right now?

Very nice.
Now meditate on these things EVERY day, throughout the day. It’s scientifically impossible to be both grateful and depressed at the same time. Seems like a no-brainer decision to me. :)
And, while we’re at it, remember this:
“It is necessary, then, to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you; and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
Wow. I love that.
So, now that we’ve captured some of the wonderful, “positive” things in your list of things to be grateful for, how about another list of all the challenges you’ve had in your life. Can you see how these challenges have shaped you and that without them you wouldn’t be who you are? And, therefore, you should grateful for them!
This list can range from the guy who cut you off on your way to work today—to whom you feel gratitude because he provided a reminder of how you don’t want to show up—to the relationship that ended and opened up the space for you to get to know yourself better and create new, more empowering relationships.
So, what are 5 challenging things that have contributed to your advancement that you can include in your gratitude?

“You want to be rich in order that you may eat, drink, and be merry when it is time to do these things; in order that you may surround yourself with beautiful things, see distant lands, feed your mind, and develop your intellect; in order that you may love men and do kind things, and be able to play a good part in helping the world to find truth.”
Amen.
