#2018 On the Shortness of Life by Seneca

Prioritize What Matters Most

Today’s wisdom is from On the Shortness of Life by Seneca. (Great book!)

Seneca teaches us: “It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste much of it.”

Life feels short when we spend it on trivial things. To live fully, we must prioritize what truly matters.

Here’s how to live fully today:

1. Reflect on Your Priorities. Seneca says: “You act like mortals in what you fear, and like immortals in what you desire.” Focus on what’s meaningful.

2. Eliminate Wasted Time. He says: “Don’t let trivial distractions steal your days.”

3. Be Present. “The present moment is all we have.”

So…

What’s one way you can live fully today?

Here’s to embracing the shortness of life.
