#1973 Don’t Do It

Two Days in a Row

I started typing this at 5:51 a.m. Central time about a week after Thanksgiving.

I just sent my Oura scores to Brandon Guyer and Sean Casey.

I was a 90 Readiness and 90 Sleep score.

But…

I wasn’t quite 101%.

As I told them in my text that went along with the screen grabs of Oura…

“Absolutely dominated the bubble wrap protocol as the whole family is dealing with the post-Thanksgiving 🦠 we got either from the movie theatre/arcade, trampoline place, or chess tournament Saturday.

Note: I NEVER (!) get sick when I’m following my nutrition protocol and I love the reminder.

When I was chatting with [A TOP SECRET FRIEND] the other day about dialing in his protocol I said…

‘If you go outside your bright lines for a day, don’t do it two days in a row. If you do it two days in a row, DEFINITELY don’t do it three days in a row. And… If you do it THREE days in a row, don’t do it four.’

And…

Well…

I just did it five days in a row. 😳 🤯

Mediocrity for the win! 😆 🤓

Perfect.

Day 1. All in. Let’s go. ⚙️ 🚀”

And…

That’s Today’s +1.

There are times when the right thing to do is to go live a little and go outside of our normal “bright lines” protocols.

And…

If you go outside your bright lines for a day, don’t do it two days in a row.

If you do it two days in a row, DEFINITELY don’t do it three days in a row.

And…

If you do it THREE days in a row, don’t do it four.

And…

When you DO go outside those bright lines for too long and you pay the price, here’s to having the wisdom to notice it and then having the (self) love and playfulness to laugh at yourself about it and THEN having the discipline to get back to dominating your protocol with an even more joyful ferocity.

There are no perfect human beings.

You and I (tragically!) won’t be the first.

So…
