Today we hit another special milestone. 451.
“Why is 451 a special milestone?”
Well, recall our lessons on activation energy.
At 211° you have very hot water. But, it’s not until 212° that our water boils and creates the steam that can power a locomotive. That last degree mattered. A lot.
Then we have fire.
Carbon and hydrogen atoms are hanging out in wood all day every day. And, of course, oxygen is hanging out in the air all day every day.
But… They won’t combine to form fire molecules until a certain threshold is reached. We need 451° (!) of heat to create enough energy to catalyze the magical dance that is fire.
400°? Nope.
425°? Nope.
450°? Nope.
451°. Let their be 🔥.
All of which leads us to Today’s +1.
